Prairie Studio remolded a 1920’s era retro kitchen to make it more functional and flexible while maintaining its original charm. The challenge was to gain as much usable space within a very compact kitchen. The existing materials were outdated, the space was inefficient, and the lack of headroom underneath an existing staircase demanded that the kitchen be reconfigured. The new layout incorporates a pantry above the stairs, a food preparation area with a comfortable bench, and ample storage opportunities.
